Account Information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and a hashed password.

Resume & Career Documents: When you upload your resume or cover letter, we store these files to power our AI features. These files are associated exclusively with your account.

Job Preferences: We store your target job titles, locations, and search preferences to run automated job searches on your behalf.

Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with the platform (pages visited, features used, timestamps) to improve our service.

Device & Log Data: We may collect your IP address, browser type, and device identifiers for security and debugging purposes.

We use your information to:

• Provide and operate the Auto Job service
• Run automated job searches based on your preferences
• Generate tailored resumes and cover letters using AI
• Send you notifications about new job matches or application activity
• Improve our algorithms and product features
• Prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
• Comply with applicable laws and regulations

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not share your resume or personal details with employers without your explicit action (e.g., you choosing to download and submit your application).

Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure (hosted within the EU/US depending on your region). We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256).

Uploaded documents (resumes, cover letters) are stored in isolated, access-controlled storage buckets. Access is strictly limited to authenticated requests from your account session.

We implement rate limiting, input validation, and session management to protect against common attacks. Despite these measures, no internet service is 100% secure. If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, contact us immediately at privacy@autojob.sqps.io.

We use the following third-party services to operate Auto Job:

• Anthropic Claude API — for AI-powered resume tailoring and document generation
• Supabase / PostgreSQL — for secure database storage
• Stripe — for payment processing (if applicable; card details are never stored on our servers)

Each third party is bound by their own privacy policy and data processing agreements compliant with GDPR where applicable.

We use a minimal set of cookies required for authentication (session tokens stored in localStorage). We do not use third-party advertising cookies or behavioral tracking pixels.

You may disable cookies in your browser settings, but this will prevent you from logging in to the platform.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete data
• Erasure — request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
• Objection — opt out of certain processing activities

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it (e.g., billing records for 7 years under tax law).

Auto Job is not intended for individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, contact us at privacy@autojob.sqps.io and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via email or a prominent in-app notice at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Your continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
